Building Information Detailing

Building Information Detailing (BID) extension works with Revit® Architecture, Revit® Structure and Revit® MEP environment within current project or linked files and provides a set of tools for building model detailing and BIM data analyzing.

BID helps to insert tens of elements (Furniture, Lighting Fixtures, Mechanical Equipment, Structural Connections, Areas etc) by using built-in (customizable) rules into predefined positions what are logically related with other objects. Database of rules can be easy extended by request of users.

Parameters (type, material and any geometrical data) of hundreds grouped or sorted objects can be easy modified by one click.

Vertical, horizontal, arc or diagonal grids can be renamed depended on the settings.
"Sort Mark" - powerful function which allows to renumber any elements in different ways.

Swing direction values can be written to any user parameter for doors.
New coping function copes connected ends of selected framing/framings with predefined distance.

All modifications are going in real time, so the user can easy control this process.

"Analyze data" function groups and quantifies objects in different sections of BIM data tree. User can select different grouping opportunities and filter elements for analysis.

Calculates areas and room wall finishes (material name, wall area brutto, wall area netto, wall segment length and etc) and groups all data in different ways.



Analyzing results can be exported to Excel or built in Revit legend depended on configured settings.



Any model elements can be selected using different built-in rules.

There are possible other forms to show and put on paper analyzing results. All dialogs has function what helps to create/update table data in the drafting view with selected settings.

Revit doesn't update elements at the legend automatically, depending on the model. It takes a long time to bring and update all data in the legend manually. DL helps increase your productivity and avoid mistakes.

Legends created by Dynamic Legend are intelligent. DL reads data in the legend and understands it's configuration. Dynamic Legend calculates how many components from the current or linked project are needed for Legend, copies and writes all parameters according the predefined configuration.
 


User can change the configuration at any time:

  • change Legend's component and its view type (plan, elevation, section or other);
  • sort Legend's components in different ways;
  • remove/add a new type or instance parameter which values want to see in Legend;
  • add/remove a row/column number's parameter for Legend table.

It is possible to use one or more element views in the legend.

Dynamic Legend calculates total value for any numeric parameter of Revit® object like length, area, volume and so on. Also writes a row or column number in the legend table if needed, calculates grand total values of selected parameters and writes them in the last additional row or column which is created automatically.

Dynamic Legend has possibility to use real element images instead of legend components.

 


Sort&Mark

Sort&Mark - extension for Revit® Architecture and Revit® Structure automatically sorts graphic, architectural and structural elements. Extension allows you to save specific localized sort and mark configuration for later use in the current or future projects.

Sort&Mark Features:

    Grids:
  • detects geometry of grids and re-marks them if needed.
    Doors and Windows:
  • sorts and marks doors and windows in different ways;
  • detects and writes door swing direction, real door opening situation (From Room and To Room) and other predefined parameters;
  • does not change old numbers if it's not needed;

    Foundations:
  • sorts structural foundations by selected settings;
  • defines a state, which helps to make foundation parameters stable during the project changes.
    Shared Coordinates:
  • recalculates shared coordinates of structural columns and foundations;
  • recalculates shared elevations for doors and windows;
  • recalculates shared elevations for each floor, structural floor, foundation slab, wall foundation, which is specified in the project. New feature in v.2010.2!
    Other:
  • generates Loads from Non-bearing walls;
  • writes a room number or numbers for each instance element, which is specified in the project; New feature in v.2010.2!
  • allows to save specific localized Sort&Mark configuration for later use in the current or future projects.

Smart Floors

Smart Floors - extension for Revit® provides a set of tools for floor insertion and modification.
 

  • inserts floor panels according to selected walls, grids, reference planes or structural framings;
  • has possibility insert holes to floor panels;
  • has possibility to modify offsets and position of floor panels;
  • splits floor panels in different geometrical ways;

Truss

Special 3D Truss System Grid was created for it. This tool helps to work and frame roof hips, gables, barn ends, "L" returns and valley sets very easy.

Truss+ - application for Revit® Architecture and Revit® Structure provides a set of powerful tools for roof wood framing.
 

    There are three ways to create roof framing:
  • Using 3D Truss System Grid
  • Using model lines
  • Mixed (you can use 3D Truss System Grid and model lines)

How to do input and modify of roof framing parameters easily? Special 3D Truss System Grid was created for it. This tool helps to work and frame roof hips, gables, barn ends, "L" returns and valley sets very easy.

You just have to select the roof and its boundary lines to define which end of the roof you want to frame at this moment. Choose framing type (Step Down, Terminal, Midwest, California, etc.), modify truss distribution parameters (if it's needed) and then you will get 3D Truss System Grid in the correct place. You can check and modify 3D Grid basic parameters incl. Jack distribution configuration.

Truss Database Manager helps to edit or create new types of parametrical wood trusses "4t4r" quickly with one click for all categories: common (incl. "Room in Roof"), gable, hip, valley... The configurator of Truss Design Settings includes Jack Expert and other functions for designation the right type of truss at the right place. As well, you can configure type-span-panel related parameters for common, truncated, gable, attic, mono pitch, valley, girder, hips and jack trusses.

Tens of trusses will be automatically generated by 3D Truss Generator in several minutes (one truss per 2-3 sec.). There are included functions for truss type modifying, truss auto-copying and ends of truss cutting.

Just place Model Line in desirable place and using Truss+ application create Truss or 3D Truss System Grid in place of it.

By using the "Insert truss by selected model line" function you will get any truss you want according to the roof geometry. Just select a model line, a truss type and modify truss parameters.

Flexible scheduling technology is introduced in Truss+ software. It allows quickly define how mark and sort different roof framing members and elements like truss webs and chords.

The Sort function groups, sorts and numbers framing members and elements according predefined solutions. Main types of schedules as examples are included with software installation.


Rafter

Application provides the set of tools for roof wood framing and elements scheduling. Work is based on final 3D roof model. Common rafter systems (incl. jack rafters) for selected roof are automatically generated on all slopes.

Rafter+ application for Revit® Architecture and Revit® Structure provides a set of intuitive tools for roof wood framing. It allows easy to complete the framing of any roof shape.

Rafter+ application provides the set of tools for roof wood framing and elements scheduling. Work is based on the final 3D roof model. Common rafter systems (incl. jack rafters) for the selected roof are automatically generated on all slopes.

All you need for creating hip/valley rafter - just do selection of two beam systems from the neighbor slopes (or select all). Rafter+ detects whether the element is a hip or a valley rafter.

Software automatically generates a collar beam system between two selected rafters in opposite roof slopes. Vertical distance from a ridge or a level to the collar beam system can be predefined and edited later. Collar beams can be created on each side of a rafter pair.

Ridge and girder beams can be modeled easily with control of notch in (BIRD'S-MOUTH) parameters of common, jack, hip and valley rafters. Vertical or horizontal distance to the girder beam can be redefined. Existing rafters can be cut either immediately or later with a special update function. An update helps to edit and change parameters of modeled rafter or beam systems.

Openings in roof rafter systems are detected and can be framed automatically.

The application includes several functions to insert sleepers and trimmers, create horizontal beam systems, generate floor beam systems automatically, detect and frame openings in floor slabs, cut wood beams in consideration with opening geometry.

By using the Create Batten Systems function it is possible to create additional sloped or horizontal framing on a top of rafters or floor beam systems. This function is very useful in different cases.

It is possible to create horizontal beam systems.

The Rafter+ tools make it easy to place dormers. It is really simple: just choose the frame position on your roof, select configuration and click to place. The program will create all structural elements so the framing cutout will be accurate.

You will also find framing tools helping you to extend or trim beams, split or recreate beam systems and so on - great for custom framing needs. All needed families are included with software installation.
