AutoCAD Civil 3D and 6-Month Term Autodesk 3ds Max Design Bundle Promotion
For a limited time, Autodesk is introducing a promotional bundle that includes AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 and a six-month term license of Autodesk 3ds Max Design software. This bundle is available for new license sales and upgrade paths. When Civil 3D customers access their Subscription benefits, they can also take advantage of the Autodesk Civil Visualization Extension and with the 3ds Max Design term license can realize the visualization capabilities of Autodesk 3ds Max Design software.
Even if they have little or no experience using Autodesk 3ds Max Design software, engineers using the Civil Visualization Extension can: establish a direct link between AutoCAD Civil 3D and 3ds Max Design so that visualizations can be automatically updated as the design evolves, enhance realism of the visualization with civil engineering-specific materials and content such as signage, vehicles, and road striping and visualize realistic traffic simulations in context. BIM for General Contractors 101: September 30
This workshop consists of two half day sessions for contractors and subcontractors that will give you an overview of what BIM is and how you can start using it today.
The morning session will cover the technology, workflows, processes and how BIM is helping GCs save money during the construction process. Whether you're an executive, project manager, estimator or anyone in the construction industry, you will benefit from knowledge you will take away from this seminar and how it can affect your company and clients.
The afternoon session is geared around what you need to start your first BIM project. Learn what technologies exist today, what your company needs, how to engage your subcontractors and see the tools that others are using to reduce conflicts and clashes during construction. We'll take you through the steps of starting your first BIM project and show you how BIM can improve time, cost and quality of your projects. We'll include a section on best practices and what your subcontractors will need to get started with BIM.

New Upgrade Path for Navisworks Manage
Autodesk Navisworks Manage software is a comprehensive review solution for analysis, simulation, and communication of project information. Multi?disciplinary design data created in Building Information Modeling (BIM) applications can be combined into a single integrated project model. Interference management and clash detection tools help design and construction professionals anticipate and avoid potential problems before construction, minimizing expensive delays and rework. Navisworks Manage combines spatial coordination with the project schedule to deliver 4D simulation and analysis. Entire project models can be published and freely viewed in NWD and 3D DWFTM file formats.
